Rep. Prudhomme O’Brien, a public figure and elected official, shared several personal reflections and anecdotes on their Twitter account in late February 2026.
On February 20, O’Brien posted a lighthearted message: “Best excuses for being late.. https://t.co/YRKxMXJ2uA”. Later that same day, another tweet read: “Nailed it! Family ate it anyway. https://t.co/MXDsrFlEQl”.
Two days later, on February 22, O’Brien shared a more personal story about religious upbringing and recent faith decisions: “I lived with my mom till I was 12 and she took us to holy roller churches, it was hard to understand. I was agnostic for 4 and a half decades but today I joined the Catholic Church. It just kind of happened. My daughter was taking a class, asked me to come along and here we are.”
O’Brien is known for engaging with constituents through social media by sharing both everyday moments and significant life changes. Their recent announcement about joining the Catholic Church follows years of publicly identifying as agnostic.
