73 percent of applicants to Southern New Hampshire University were admitted for fall 2018

At Southern New Hampshire University, 75 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Manchester enrolled 104,068 students in fall 2018, including 82,693 in undergraduate and 21,375 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

9 percent of undergraduates are residents of New Hampshire, and 89 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (60 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).

The school admitted 73 percent of the 24,835 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 52 percent enrolled.
