Of the 149,917 people living in Merrimack County in 2019, 50.7 percent (76,057) were women and 49.3 percent (73,860) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Concord Ledger.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 47,361-to-47,191. In the 65 and over age range, there were 14,560 females and 11,756 males.
