Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce: Joe Conway, VP Senior Commercial Loan Officer Retirement Announced

Joyyy

Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on September 9.

Joe began working at Sugar River Bank in February of 2014 as Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer.  He was promoted to Vice President/Senior Commercial Loan Officer in February of 2017.  Joe has been instrumental in growing the bank’s commercial lending portfolio, most notably in the Concord area.  His relationships, knowledge of the market, and focus on surpassing budgeting goals has helped grow total commercial loans from $32 million as of February 2014 to $78 million in loans today.  Thanks to his leadership over the last several years, SRB is considered a strong and viable contender in the business community and we now have a much more well-diversified loan mix.  Joe has always been highly respected by the commercial loan team.  His mentorship and consideration of those in the department is both admirable and heartwarming.

Joe has also been a valuable member of the bank’s asset/liability and marketing committees.  He was instrumental in opening and operating the bank’s Concord loan production office (LPO) prior to the construction the branch.  His long-term participation as a Director/Treasurer of the Concord Regional Development Corporation (CRDC) has provided a great service to many businesses in the state and also provided valuable insight into the NH commercial marketplace.

Joe has provided a level of confidence, service, and professionalism that is critical to gaining credibility in the highly competitive commercial arena.  After 40 years in the industry, Joe has certainly left his mark on many individuals, businesses, and organizations that counted on him for their success.

Mark Pitkin, President and CEO of Sugar River Bank adds, "Please join me in wishing Joe all the best in his retirement.  In speaking with him, I know that spending more time with family is so important to him. Joe, it is your time to step away and look back on all that you have accomplished – wonderful friendships, customer relationships, and long-lasting benefits to a very thankful financial institution. On behalf of myself and the Board, thank you so much Joe!  You will be dearly missed!'
