New England racing fans can add another event to their calendar for the 2022 NASCAR season.

The 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule includes a highly anticipated midsummer return to "The Magic Mile" on July 16 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS). 

David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of NHMS, expressed excitement about the event. “The Xfinity Series has put on quite a show for race fans lately. We enjoy hosting NASCAR’s rising stars each year at ‘The Magic Mile’ during our July race weekend,” he told the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce website.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series was the first NASCAR-approved race at the NHMS beginning in 1990, when the speedway was opened. Next year, the race will mark the 35th Loudon appearance by the series, according to the Concord Ledger. 

The race will be a part of the NASCAR Cup Series, which takes place annually and will represent the only visit to the New England region by the NCS and NXS. Though the announcement for this race was highly anticipated, fans will also be waiting for full weekend schedule and broadcast details for the event. 

Tickets are now available at NHMS.com. Adult tickets cost $35 for Saturday admission and $49 for Sunday. Tickets for children 12 and under are free on Saturday and $10 on Sunday.
