City of Lebanon issued the following announcement on March 15.

Advance Transit to Increase Service between Hanover and Lebanon on the Blue Route from 30 Minute Service to 15 Minute Service

Released by Advance Transit on March 14, 2022 

Starting April 4, 2022, Advance Transit will increase the frequency of service on the Blue Route between Hanover and Lebanon from 30 minutes to 15 minutes. Blue Route service frequency between DHMC and downtown Hanover and the Dartmouth Campus will return to 15-minute frequency on April 4 as well, due to recent driver hires. The increased blue route frequency will improve connections between Advance Transit’s Brown Route that serves downtown Norwich and Lyme Road in Hanover, making it more convenient to travel by bus to and from DHMC. We will also continue to meet all the Green Route buses leaving Hanover for Wilder, Hartford Village and White River Junction.

A five-year Transit Development Plan completed in December of 2018 outlined the need for the expanded blue route service. That study was performed before the new DHMC expansion and many new apartment complexes now under construction on Mount Support Road were announced. Municipal, regional, and state planners have identified increased transit service in the Route 120/Mount Support Road corridor as one of many transportation improvements that are needed to offset traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours.

Advance Transit’s Blue Route service between downtown Lebanon and Canaan Village will operate seven commuter trips daily. For specific times consult the schedule on the AT website, www.advancetransit.com, or pick up a schedule on any AT bus.
