Concord Public Library offers a variety of resources to help make this year of high school a success.
Are you ready for the upcoming school year? The library has various resources to help you throughout the year with school work, research papers, stress relief, and more! Whether you're an incoming freshman, or a returning student, the library is here to help.
Check out some of the resources you can find at the CPL:
- Databases and encyclopedias - Get access to databases like Explora and NewsBank for your essays and research papers. With U.S. Newsstream, you'll also have access to major newspapers across the country, like the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. Of course, you can always find physical copies of encyclopedias at the library.
- Study room - The library has one study room that is available on a first come, first serve basis. For two hours at a time, you may use it for studying, reading, or quiet group work.
- Teen Zone - The Teen Zone, found up the ramp towards the back of the library, is a room dedicated just for patrons ages 13 to 18 years old. It has two Mac desktop computers, a large table to spread out materials, and comfy chairs to sit in.
- Reference books - Check out books like How to Write Any High School Essay and English Grammar Essentials.
- Printing and photocopying - for essays, projects, and articles.
- Planning your future - Thinking about your next step in education? Come to the Teen Zone to find informational pamphlets, financial aid information, and college catalogs!
