Victoria Sullivan, a New Hampshire political figure, has recently used her social media platform to address state tax policy and legislative controversies. Through a series of posts made between April 15 and April 17, 2026, Sullivan emphasized her opposition to an income tax in New Hampshire and commented on current debates within the state legislature.
On April 15, Sullivan stated her position against an income tax by writing, “An income tax would only increase the tax burden on NH citizens. No income tax. Not now. Not ever. #noincometax”. This message reinforces a longstanding tradition in New Hampshire politics where there is significant resistance to implementing broad-based taxes such as an income or sales tax.
The following day, Sullivan addressed allegations involving the Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) and criticized how some Democrats have responded publicly. She wrote on April 16: “While David Meuse and the NH Democrats try to politicize and use these new allegations as political fodder (check out the popcorn on his comment as if this is somehow entertaining) the Senate and House Republicans take this work very seriously. I NEVER voted to defund the OCA.” The OCA serves as an independent office tasked with overseeing child welfare in New Hampshire.
In another post dated April 17, Sullivan expressed support for Republican efforts regarding children’s issues: “NH Republicans once again stood up for kids. #NHPolitics”.
New Hampshire’s political landscape has been shaped by ongoing debates over taxation policy and oversight of public agencies such as the OCA. State lawmakers frequently cite New Hampshire’s lack of an income or general sales tax as a defining characteristic intended to maintain affordability for residents.
