Important Notice | County of Tamworth
Over the next two weeks voters can still request Absentee Ballots for the postponed Town/School Election being held on March 28th by completing the Absentee Ballot Request form provided on our Town of Tamworth website or in the Town Clerk’s office, and then returning the Absentee Ballots by mail or bringing into the Town Clerk's office during open hours up until Mon March 27th from 3-5pm.
Please note that Absentee Ballots can no longer be left in the Black Lock Box on the front porch of the Town Office Building.
At this time the Town Clerk can only accept NEW Voter Registrations if the individual is voting by Absentee Ballot and will not be available to make the Postponed March 28th Election, otherwise the new voter must register on the day of the Postponed Election (March 28th) with the Supervisors of the Checklist at the polling location (KA Brett School Gym 8am-7pm).
If a voter who has already submitted an Absentee Ballot for the original Election Date and may be available on the Postponed Election Date to come to the polls, even if the voter is present in town/able to come to the polls and has not voted in Person prior to processing the Absentee Ballots, will be able to have that Absentee Ballot counted on the postponed election day (RSA 669:1-a IX).
