Lebanon, N.H. — On May 3, 2023, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) met with leadership at Dartmouth Health to tour the newly constructed Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center’s Patient Pavilion. During the visit, Kuster spoke with Dr. Joanne Conroy, President and CEO of Dartmouth Health, about the expansion and how the new facility will support patients and expand the services available in the region.

“Dartmouth Health is a national leader in providing quality health care to patients,” said Kuster. “The opening of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center’s new Patient Pavilion will build on their extensive care network to help more families access life-saving care right here in Lebanon. Thank you to Dr. Joanne Conroy for meeting with me to discuss how this new facility will support patients across our state.”

“Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center serves as a critical healthcare safety net for much of New Hampshire, and so access to the highly specialized care patients can only receive in an academic medical center is vital to meeting the needs of those we serve,” said Dr. Conroy. “I appreciate Congresswoman Kuster visiting our state-of-the-art new space, which has been five years in the making. Her support of our commitment to providing Granite Staters with world-class care at the nation’s most rural academic medical center are making a difference in the health of our community.”

Kuster is a senior Member of the prominent Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees legislation regarding our nation’s health care system. In this role, she is leading the charge to lower health care costs, strengthen the health care workforce, and expand access to care, including through telehealth.
